
From London: It is most convenient to take the train from London Paddington Station. Information about train schedules and fares can be found here. Upon arrivan in Oxford, take a taxi to the college (which is pronounced "Maudlin". There is a taxi rank outside the railway station.
From Heathrow airport: Take the X70 coach (more information here. If you do not have a lot of luggage, get off at St. Clement's, cross the road, follow it in the direction of the coach, across the bridge, past the tower: the entrance to Magdalen is on your right-hand side. With luggage, continue until Gloucester Green (the final stop for the coach) and take a taxi from the nearby rank.
From Gatwick airport: Take the X80 coach (more information here). Same instructions for arrival as from Heathrow apply.
Rooms will be ready from mid-day on Monday. If arriving late in the evening (after 11pm), ring the Porters' Lodge at 01865 276000. The front door is closed at 11pm, but there is someone on duty all night, and a bell to the right of the door.
For residents only, breakfast will be between 8am and 9am in the Buttery.
The college bar is open from midday for snacks and drinks at extra charge.
There is wireless available in college, and participants will get an account when they arrive.
Lunches from Tuesday to Friday are provided, as is the banquet on Thursday night. Please let Mrs. Wendy Adams know if you have special dietary requirements. Except for Thursday, no dinner is organised, but participants will receive restaurant recommendations upon arrival.

There is an opportunity to run systems demonstrations during breaks in the Summer Common Room. Please email Julian Tibble if you'd like to show a demo there. It is assumed demonstrators will bring their own computer, but we can arrange a wired internet connection and a large screen.
